If I got mad about all this sort of shit, I would be in a perpetual rage blackout. Pick your battles. But this is utter BS, because Adipositivity is an incredible photo project that I can guarantee has helped more overweight people besides just myself feel empowered, or at least at peace with their bodies. There is no wrong way to have a body. There is no reason to hide.

I Hope There's A Disco Ball In Heaven
I’ve found music through some non-conventional means over the years, but the strangest means of discovery was a 1999 Burger King commercial. The ad soundtracked the Whopper with “You Sexy Thing,” a 1975 hit by a British pop group called Hot Chocolate. I, like many others, referred to the song as “I Believe in Miracles.” I was 11, and it was the greatest thing...

MY HEAD IS ON FIRE: Best Coast's "The Only Place"... →
myheadisonfire: For months, Bethany Cosentino has been saying that The Best Place, her follow-up to her great 2010 debut, Crazy For You, would be different but the same. Featuring producer Jon Brion and what Cosentino calls “grown up” and “seriously emo” themes—as well as country western influences—The Best… This is my boo, getting back to writing about tunes. And it’s good stuff.

jkess: I re-found this while sifting through fragments of my life that have collected on the internet. It makes my heart so happy and so sad. ♥ athens What feels like a million years ago, Jen and I lived in Appalachia and got fucking amped on new ideas and worked on stuff like this (and this, which I still admittedly love despite the color/quality in places) with our friends. That was rad even...
